Odisha Free Laptop Scheme

Odisha government has decided to convert the Free Laptop Scheme into Odisha Laptop DBT Scheme with effect from financial year 2020-21. Now under this scheme, instead of distributing laptops to the students, the government will transfer a certain amount in the bank account through direct benefit transfer.
According to the new changes, under laptop dbt scheme, now Rs 30,000 will be transferred directly to the bank account of the students. This will give a new opportunity to the students. Students will be able to use this money according to their needs. They will be able to buy a laptop, desktop or tablet as per their choice with the help of this money.
